2026: disclosure clarity

How easy is each filing to follow? Six plain questions — are assets listed at all, does every asset name its bank or fund, is anything blacked out entirely, is what's “attached” actually attached, is income disclosed — each answered from the filing itself, with a link to the evidence.

This rates the document, not the person, and it is not a finding about legal compliance — only the Commission on Ethics decides that. Things outside the filer's control never count against them: pages missing from the state's copy and scans we couldn't read clearly. Home and property addresses aren't checked — most filers leave them off for privacy. How it works

All tiers✓ Clear (2811)◐ Some gaps (540)△ Hard to follow (26)– Not rated (39)

Clear 2811 filers

Some gaps 540 filers

One check came back with a gap.

Hard to follow 26 filers

Two or more checks came back with gaps.

Not rated 39 filers

Too little of the filing could be read confidently to rate it (fewer than three checks).
