Florida Files

Corrections

When we get something wrong — a value we misread, or an item that misreads a filing — we fix it and note it here.

We review every report in a timely manner. If a correction is needed, we make it and add a dated entry to this list saying what was wrong and what we changed. If the filing itself says what we showed, we leave it as is — we correct our reading, not what a filer reported.

Example — what an entry looks like (not a real correction)

  • — We read a candidate's “domain names” asset as $150,000; page 2 of the filing says $15,000. We corrected the value and withdrew the “hard-to-value asset” item it had triggered.
